Yesterday’s chainsaw training focused on developing the skills needed for storm cleanup, clearing blocked roadways, removing hazardous trees, and gaining access during emergency incidents. Continuous training helps keep our firefighters safe, proficient, and ready to serve the community.

Our future fire hall property was put to good use as we utilized trees on the site for practical training exercises. A special thank you to Terry Daum for sharing his expertise and providing valuable instruction that helped make this training a success.

Training night was all about CPR certification and recertification! 🚑❤️

We even had a few get some hands-on practice checking for a pulse on a baby.

Do you know the best place to find a pulse on an infant? 👶
(Hint: it’s called the brachial pulse!)
