💙📅 SAVE THE DATE: 988 DAY IS SEPTEMBER 8! 📅💙

Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is simply remind someone they’re not alone.

On 9/8, join communities across the country in raising awareness about the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline and helping spread a message of hope, connection, and support.

✨ It’s okay to ask for help.
✨ It’s okay to not have all the answers.
✨ It’s okay to reach out.

The 988 Lifeline provides free, confidential, judgment-free support 24/7 for anyone experiencing emotional distress or a mental health or substance use crisis. Whether things feel overwhelming, you’re facing a difficult moment, or you just need someone to talk to, your reason for reaching out is enough.

This 988 Day, help us make sure everyone knows where to turn:

📲 Share the number
💬 Start a conversation
💙 Check in on someone
🤝 Remind them they’re not alone

A simple conversation could make a difference. A simple reminder could be exactly what someone needs.

Help is always just three numbers away: 988.

💜September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month🩵Knowing the warning signs of su***de, in adults and in children and teens, means being able to recognize when someone needs support and connect them to help sooner. Su***de is the second leading cause of death among American Indian and Alaska Native youth ages 8 to 24, making it a critical issue in our community.

Higher risks are linked to mental health conditions, substance use, intergenerational trauma, and socioeconomic disparities rooted in historical displacement and oppression. Understanding these factors is the first step toward prevention and healing.

You are not alone, and help is available. For behavioral health resources, visit https://yellowhawk.org/behavioral-health-resources/. Call or text 988 for crisis support, or if you just need to talk, reach out to the CTUIR Community Warm Line at 541.969.0010.
