We shouldn’t place the burdens of addiction on kids trying to walk to school. This ordinance shows what clear persistent community engagement can produce.

Congratulations to Stadiumhood and Friends of Couch Park for their determination. It was a pleasure to work for change with you! I know there is more work to do.

There is more work to do to protect students and communities across our state. Other counties and the legislature must take necessary steps to increase accountability and end public funding of programs that enable addiction and harm our communities.

A new ordinance would ban harm reduction providers from distributing needles or syringes within 1,000 feet of a school. But questions remain.

Oregonians can't afford Governor Tina Kotek’s unprecedented COVID cash settlement that puts criminals ahead of victims and leaves taxpayers on the hook for a bad deal.

Governor Kotek isn't fighting for us, she is working against us.

She is choosing to pay adults in custody who were serving criminal sentences instead of holding the line and defending Oregon taxpayers in court from a weak lawsuit.

This shortsighted, overly generous settlement exposes the state to more lawsuits and taxpayer-funded payouts that threaten the solvency of our state’s insurance fund and resources that should be used for public safety, our classrooms and services for Oregon's most vulnerable.

COVID affected every single Oregonian. Our children were shut out of schools, businesses were forced to close and families suffered with many losing their loved ones. Oregonians deserve a governor who fights for taxpayers, protects the state's financial future and defends the public interest.

The state of Oregon has agreed to pay $49 million dollars to the families of inmates who died while in state custody during the COVID-19 pandemic and to the more than 5,000 people who contracted the virus while incarcerated.

Oregon has one of the shortest school years in the nation.

Just over the river in Vancouver, the average K-12 student receives one year more of instructional time than students in our state.

A recent poll showed that 80% of Oregonians support requiring local school districts to provide at least the national average of school days.

Your kids deserve a world-class education, and on Day One I will work to increase classroom time and give teachers the resources they need so that all Oregon students and teachers can be successful.

Tina Kotek’s allies are pushing to get IP 28 on the ballot, threatening 130 dairy farms and over 40,000 jobs in the dairy industry alone.

Oregon farmers - the economic lifeblood of our state - are under attack by a radical fringe that doesn’t care about the cost of their reckless agenda.

We can’t let them destroy our state.

What world is Tina Kotek living in?

Homelessness rose by 35% since she became governor. More than 27,100 people are living without shelter in our state. That’s more people than the city of Wilsonville.

She's done nothing but make this problem worse, and now she’s creating alternative facts.

When we fire Kotek this November, we're going to end this crisis.

I am committed to combatting Oregon’s homelessness crisis. I declared a State of Emergency, opened new shelters, added treatment beds, and got more than 5,500 families back into housing. There is more work to do, and we aren’t backing down.

🎓📚As another school year comes to a close, I want to congratulate Oregon’s students, especially this year’s graduates!

Every student deserves an excellent school that helps them learn, grow and achieve their biggest dreams. As governor, I will restore graduation requirements so that a diploma means something again, support great teachers, help students read by third grade, increase classroom time and ensure Oregon schools are focused on student success.

Oregon’s future is in today’s classrooms and our kids are capable of incredible things. Let’s build an education system we can be proud of, that prepares every child for a bright future and helps them achieve the Oregon Dream!

Today we celebrate Father's Day — and I wanted to take a moment to reach out personally.

My husband Dan keeps our lives connected and moving forward together, which these days is a super power. I am so grateful watch him father our three kids and show them with the life he lives how to work hard and love well. He shows up every single day — not just for the big moments, but for the quiet ones too. The fishing and camping trips, the late-night conversations, the steady presence our kids lean on.

That's what fatherhood looks like. That's what it means.

It was an honor to join today's powerful celebration and speak at the 5th Annual Interfaith Black Clergy Prayer Breakfast!

We are all called to serve something greater than ourselves. Meaningful change begins when people are willing to listen, learn and continue the conversation—even when those conversations are difficult.

Unity is possible and strong communities are built when leaders commit to speaking honestly, building trust, extending grace and doing hard work together.

As your next governor, my responsibility is not simply to speak, but to listen. Not simply to advocate, but to understand. Not simply to represent my own experience, but to help advance the needs and experiences of others.

Thank you to the Coalition of African and African American Pastors, to Bridge-Pamoja and to the community advocates whose leadership, ministry and service continue to strengthen our state.

Oregon's economy is in freefall and all Tina Kotek has offered struggling families is higher taxes and regulations that crush workers, jobs and small businesses.

More bureaucrats and meetings won’t solve this crisis.

On Day One, we're going to turn our economy around by getting government out of the way and empowering our job creators to stay and grow right here in Oregon.

Oregon lost a greater percentage of jobs during the 12-month period ending in April than any other state but Maryland (tied at -1.2%). This is not what prosperity looks like. Urgent action is needed to change the state's trajectory.
