Tonight’s dinner was a hit!
Our Lead Cook, Tim, served up taco salad with all the fixings, fresh cilantro lime coleslaw, and cherry crisp for dessert!
In true Juniper House fashion, our Memory Care Director insisted on personally checking the coleslaw for poison first 😏 — we’re happy to report it passed inspection with a chef’s kiss approval 👌
We are so grateful for the care, creativity, and love that goes into every meal served at Juniper House!

To our wonderful community 💜

It is nearing one of our favorite times of the year — *The Longest Day!*

The Longest Day is a special event held to honor those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, while raising awareness and support for the care, research, and resources families desperately need. At Juniper House, this cause is deeply personal to us, and we are so excited to come together once again with our amazing community.

This year, we will be celebrating on **Friday, June 19th** with a fun-filled day of fundraising, community involvement, and meaningful moments in support of the Alzheimer’s Association. (The official Longest Day falls on June 21st, but we wanted to celebrate together before the weekend!)

We are currently looking for raffle prize donations from local businesses and community members. Gift baskets, gift cards, handmade items, services, and other donations are all greatly appreciated! We are also happy to arrange donation pick-up if that is easier for you.

Our two directors can sure throw one heck of a party!

It was so great to see all of the love and support shown for our Juniper House mothers today 💕
From the smiles and laughter to the special touches that made the day so meaningful, it was truly a beautiful celebration for some very deserving women. Thank you to everyone who helped make today so special and memorable for our residents and their families.

The son of our very own Memory Care Director is currently in the running for America’s Favorite Student! 📚

Kaicen is a soccer-loving, adventure-seeking, hardworking kid with a big heart and an even bigger mullet 😄 He’s always on the go between school, sports, and making memories with family and friends. This is Kaicen's first year of Middle School and his love for learning as well as his determination has helped him maintain straight As all year!

We would love to show him some support from his Juniper House family by helping vote for him in the competition!

Today at Juniper House, our community came together to honor the life of a beloved resident who passed away yesterday.

Our Life Enrichment Coordinator and some of our lovely residents participated in a meaningful butterfly release, a beautiful tribute symbolizing transformation, hope, and remembrance. These butterflies were lovingly cared for from the time they were caterpillars, making the moment even more special and heartfelt.

It was a peaceful opportunity to reflect and celebrate a life that touched many within our Juniper House family. Moments like these remind us of the deep connections formed here and the importance of honoring each individual’s journey with compassion and dignity.

Our thoughts are with the resident’s loved ones, and we are grateful to have shared in their story. 🦋

We were honored to welcome Angie Frantz to Juniper House Assisted Living & Memory Care for her wonderful presentation on Memory Care 101. Angie is incredibly knowledgeable, and it is so clear how passionate she is about the work she does and the people she serves. Her presentation provided valuable insight, practical tools, and meaningful perspective on how we can continue to support those living with memory loss.

Because we are always looking for ways to expand our knowledge and strengthen our commitment to providing the best possible care, we have invited Angie back to present this information to our staff as well. Ongoing education is an important part of our mission, and we are grateful for opportunities like this that help us grow and better serve our residents and their families.

We are so excited and honored to share that Juniper House Assisted Living & Memory Care won the People’s Choice Award for our banquet table at the Pilot Rock First Citizen’s Banquet! 🎉

Our team had so much fun creating this table and bringing it to life. It means so much to have the support and votes from this wonderful community. We feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a special place and to participate in events that celebrate connection, creativity, and community spirit.

Our goal in decorating this year was to shine a light on local Pendleton businesses. Thank you to Pendleton Bakery for the wonderful treats (and for the generous extras!). We’d also like to thank Herbal by Nature, A Taste of Pendleton, and Morningstar Blends. Your products helped us create baskets that everyone seated at our table enjoyed. We are lucky to have such amazing local businesses in our community, and we encourage everyone to check them out and support local!

Thank you to everyone who voted for us and to the organizers for hosting such a fantastic evening. We truly enjoyed being a part of it!
