We are very excited to fully unveil the NEW Engine 43! Today we celebrated with the Penn Valley Fire Auxiliary Thrift Shop Volunteers who work day in and day out to help support the purchase of this engine, and other apparatus over the years. This newest addition to the fleet, built in California by Hi-Tech Fire Apparatus, will replace our oldest engine in the fleet, a 25 year old Westates. We are now excited to be running three Hi-Tech Engines first out from our stations. None of this would be possible without the support from the Auxiliary Thrift Shop and everyone in our community who not only shops there but donates to them as well. We thank each and every one of you who could help make this a reality! Look for the new E43 on the road soon as crews are putting the final pieces together today!

“I always thought the record would stand, until it was broken.” - Yogi Berra.

At Tuesday nights Board meeting the Penn Valley Fire Auxiliary Thrift Shop presented yet another record breaking check to the District. This time, a whopping $300,000!

Over 70 volunteers donated almost twelve-thousand hours of their time in 2025, dedicating each hour to making the thrift shop the best around! We thank each and every one of those volunteers, as well as our community members who frequent the shop on a daily basis.

The donations from the thrift shop, quite literally, make our Fire District run. The entire amount is used to purchase new vehicles - everything from utility pickups to Fire Engines. They truly make the wheels spin!!!
