🌞🚲😀Looking for a way to kick off a weekend of family fun? Books & Bikes Fest returns to Public Library on Saturday, June 27. This completely free family festival is always a blast!

Kids are invited to bring their scooters, trikes, and bikes to enjoy riding in the library's parking lot, which will be closed to vehicles. The library will be giving away bike helmets, and officers from the Penn Yan Police Department will be on hand to make sure they fit safely. Enjoy ice cream courtesy of the Yates Community Center , summer safety goodies from Yates County Public Health, and enter a raffle for a family pass to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse, courtesy of the Friends of Penn Yan Public Library! Plus, there will be face painting, hula hooping, a temporary tattoo parlor, a bubble machine, bike decorating station, and raffles for all sizes of scooters!

Of course, the library's summer reading program will be back for another year of reading encouragement, and kids who sign up for the program that day will get to pick out a free, brand-new book to keep!

Grab your sunscreen and water bottle and we'll see you at 214 Main Street in Penn Yan! The fun starts at 10am on Saturday, June 27. (In case of rain, we'll move everything but the bike-riding indoors. Cross your fingers for good weather!)
