Bucks County District Courts to get upgrades for ADA Compliance.

As the new school year approaches, the Pennsylvania Courts wants to remind drivers to slow down in school zones, stop for school buses and stay alert to help ensure the safety of our students. Over the past five years (2021-2025), 25,136 Pennsylvania drivers have been cited for school zone violations.

Due to various incidents that have occurred in district courts across Pennsylvania, Bucks County is starting to provide security at district courts as recommended by the state. Security started at Court 07-1-12 in Bensalem on July 6th and will begin at Court 07-1-07 in Penndel on August 10th. The public and all court users should be safe in government buildings. We appreciate your cooperation during the implementation of the new security protocols.

Animal Abuse Data in Pennsylvania Since Libre Law Took Effect

Libre’s Law, the anti-cruelty law (Act 10) that strengthened the protection of animals
went into effect in late August of 2017. Since then, over 72,000 animal abuse offenses have been filed statewide – 63% of which were for neglect of animal(s).

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Pennsylvania Courts today released an infographic highlighting data from the state’s mental health courts. In 2024, 72% of all discharged participants graduated successfully from these treatment programs and among those graduates, there was a 112% increase in employment.
