Engine 8 operating this weekend on Interstate 295 for an auto fire. The engine arrived and stretched the 150’ 1.75” trash line for a fire in a hybrid vehicle. Engine 9 and 22 on scene assisting as well.
Tower 8 on scene early this morning in Bristol Township assisting Station 12/82 for a building fire on Rittenhouse Circle. The Tower arrived and was assigned to ventilation by command. The crew placed 6 fans from the Tower in service while also gaining access to the roof to remove several sky lights to assist with smoke removal.
While the Tower was operating in Bristol the Foam unit was dispatched to assist the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company in the north end of Middletown Township for a Freight train vs. a concrete truck with fire. The Foam unit arrived and assisted with operations until released by command.
Tower 8 operating on a 3 alarm fire in Bristol Borough this morning. The Tower was dispatched as the 2nd due truck company on the 2nd alarm and was assigned to the roof by command. The Tower chauffer was able to gain position on Side C while the crew operated on the roof opening several holes to support suppression efforts below.
Engine Co. 8 going to work for an auto fire next to house this past Friday night. After laying a supply line to ensure a continuous water supply if needed the crew deployed the 150’ 1.75” trash line and quickly got water on the fire.
Busy Friday night for the Station with numerous responses and several inservice calls.
10:45pm - 11:40pm: Engine 8 in service as the first in Engine for an auto fire next to a house on Hulmeville Road in Station 9’s first due.
11:55pm - 2:30am: Engine 8 first in with a large pile of railroad ties on fire behind the Penndel Shopping Center in the first due. Station 21/22 and Station 9 on scene assisting.
2:55am: Engine and Tower 8 on scene in the first due for an accident with injures on I-295.
03:18am - 03:40: Engine 8 and Engine 9 handle a first due fire alarm on Bellevue Ave while the Tower remained on scene of the accident in 295 for an extended period of time.

Tower 8 and Engine 244 operating in the first due this evening for a fire in a dryer at a laundry mat.
Rescue 8 on scene this evening assisting the Newport Fire Company with a house fire along the 5100 block of Lighthouse Lane in Bensalem Township. First in crews had fire on multiple floors and in the attic of a 2 story end of the row townhouse. The Rescue arrived as the working fire Rescue Co. and was assigned by command to pull a line to the second floors to assist with extinguishment.
Tower 8 on the streets this evening assisting Station 52 with a house fire on Buckley Street in Bristol Borough. Crews had fire on 2 floors of a 3 story ballon frame dwelling and went into service. After making the 8 mile response Tower 8 was assigned to open up the “D” side of the dwelling and to assist with overhaul. After 1.5 hours of inservice time the Tower returned to town. The fire along with a fire in the same dwelling during the overnight hours are under investigation by FM-200’s office.
Tower 8 operating as the first due truck company this evening assisting the Newport Fire Company along the 5700 block of Shetland Court in the Neshaminy Valley section of Bensalem Township. Crews had a fire in an attached garage of a middle of the row townhouse and handled accordingly to mitigate.
Tower 8 and Tower 21 handling the flag detail this morning for William Penn Fire Company Life Member Brian Abrescia who recently passed away. Brian was an active member for many years and was a past President of the company.
Companies from around Lower Bucks County working a house fire in the first due this afternoon. Units from Middletown Fire & Emergency Services arrived first with fire showing and went into service as the first due Engine Co. Tower 8 operated as the first due truck while numerous mutual aid companies arrived and went to work accordingly to assist. The fire was placed under control in approx. 20 minutes and FM 255 is investigating the cause.
Today members along with guests of the company took a ride to South Philadelphia to catch the Phillies game. Although the Phillies lost a great time was had by all. A special thanks to Cornwells Fire Company- Station 16 for covering our station with Tower 16 while we were out of town!
With a grieving heart we mourn the loss of a friend.
Hugh "Santa 8" Cooperman passed away on June 12, 2023. Even before becoming a member of our organization Hugh was a friend. For almost 30 years Hugh helped bring joy to families on Christmas Eve by being our Santa. Hugh officially became a member in 1991.
We ask that you keep Hugh’s family in your thoughts.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday June 20 from 0900- 1:00pm at Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Rd. Levittown.
Station 8 on the streets for several runs this afternoon including operating as the second due Truck Co. for a house fire in the Newport Fire Company local and a first due accident with Middletown Fire & Emergency Services on Interstate 295.
Rescue 8 on the streets for several calls today including an auto fire early this morning (dispatched as an auto extrication) on Route 1 in the Trevose Fire Company Station 4/84 first due and vehicle vs. school bus in our first due area this afternoon.
Foam 8 on scene this afternoon assisting Lingohocken Fire Company Station 35 with a transportation Haz Mat incident along the 2800 block of Windy Bush Road. Foam 8 supplied by Midway Volunteer Fire Company Tanker 5 placed a 1.75” protection line in service along with a 2.5” line feeding a blitz fire to support operations. Foam 8 remained in service for just under 5 hours until released by command.

It’s fun and games between calls but when the smoke lifts at a fire we normally see the same faces and it’s our friends from Nottingham Fire Department - Station 65 who always have our backs. A big happy 65th birthday to our brothers from Station 65.
Tower and Rescue 8 on scene during the over night hours assisting the William Penn Fire Company with a house fire in the Snowball Gate section of the township. Companies arrived with a well advanced fire in a 2 story single family dwelling and went in service accordingly.
Tower and Rescue 8 on scene this morning assisting the Trevose Fire Company with a technical rescue on Route 1 in Bensalem. First in units from Trevose, Nottingham and Parkland arrived to find a construction worker who fell approx 30’ from the Route 1 bridge over the Neshaminy Creek. BC/FM 222 arrived, established Command and special called Rescue Co. 8 to the scene to assist. Upon arrival the Tower (responded extra due to the nature of the incident) set up on the south bound lanes to establish a high point while the crew from the Rescue rigged the Tower with 2 total 3:1 systems to haul the patient out. Once the rigging was set crews on scene were able to quickly get the patient out and ultimately transported to the hospital by Bensalem EMS.
Tower and Deputy 8 on scene late this afternoon assisting the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company with a house fire in the Laurel Oaks section of the township.
Rescue and Chief 8 on scene this morning assisting Eddington Fire Company - Station 28 with an auto extrication along the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Bensalem Township. First in units had a single vehicle off the roadway and into a tree with one heavily entrapped. Rescue 8 arrived as the 3rd due Rescue and assisted Cornwells Rescue 16 and Newportville Rescue 82 with extrication efforts while Engine Co. 28 provided fire protection for the scene. Deputy 16 had the command and the extrication was complete in under 30 minutes.
Tower 8 as the first due Truck Co. and Rescue 8 as the working fire Rescue Co. assisting the Newport Fire Company with a house fire this afternoon along the 6100 block of Clearview Ave in Bensalem. Crews had a single story trailer with fire showing and went in service accordingly.
Rescue 8 along with Rescue 9, Engine 77 and Engine 22 on-scene this morning on Eastbound I 295 near Exit 5 for a multiple vehicle accident with entrapment and fatalities. Crews had a 2 vehicle accident with multiple trapped along with fatalities and went in service accordingly. PSP on scene as well handling the investigation.

The Officers and Members of the PFC would like to welcome the 1st Middletown Township Career Chief, Mark Antozzeski. Chief Antozzeski is coming to us from NJ where he served as the Chief of Hamilton District #9 for 19 years. He has 40 plus years in the fire service and his education and experience will benefit the community.
The process to create a paid fire chiefs position has taken several years and involved all the township companies working closely with the township.
Chief Antozzeski's first official day is today with a swearing in ceremony to follow on Tuesday February 21st at the Board of Supervisors Meeting.
Tower 8 on the streets today for several runs in the first due and a second alarm fire in Bristol Borough.
Rescue 8 on scene a short time ago along the Southbound lanes of Route 1 superhighway north of Highland Ave. for an auto extrication. First in units from Middletown Fire & Emergency Management had an overturned vehicle off into the slow shoulder of the access road with 1 needing removal from inside the vehicle. Crews from 244 and Rescue 8 went in service to stabilize the vehicle and to remove the windshield to allow access. The extrication was quickly completed and patient turned over to medics on scene. Parkland Fire Company Rescue 9 along with Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Engine 21/22 on scene as well assisting.
At 11:30pm last night the Station along with numerous other companies were dispatched for the report of a house on fire along the 200 block of Hulmeville Ave. in the first due. AC-8 arrived with a 2 story single family dwelling with fire showing and established command. Engine 8 arrived quickly after, secured their own water supply and went into service for extinguishment. Tower 8 arrived a short time after the Engine on Side A and operated as the first due special service. Thanks to all the mutual aid companies for the help and the fire is under investigation by FM 244.
Rescue 8 on scene this morning assisting the Newtown Fire Association with a townhouse fire on Headley Drive. First in units had fire showing and went in service accordingly. Upon arrival Rescue 8 assisted with various tasks on the fire ground including securing utilities, ventilation and overhaul before being released after an hour of in service time.
Station 8 along with numerous other companies operating at a first due building fire this morning in the Highland Park section of the township. Crews had an electrical fire in the building with a smoke condition throughout and handled accordingly.
Tower 8 on scene last night assisting Station 12/82 with a truck fire along the Northbound lanes of I-95.
Tower 8 on scene today at a multiple alarm building fire along the 1300 block of Bridgewater Road in Bensalem Township. First in crews had an active fire along with a fire sprinkler activation in a commercial building and went into service accordingly. Tower 8 initially was sent to cover Station 16 however was directed to the scene as the incident escalated. Upon arrival Tower 8 went into service with various tasks to assist with suppression and ventilation efforts.
During the incident a FF from our brothers at Ladder 65 suffered a fall from a ladder and was transported by medics to a local hospital. Our thoughts are with Station 65 and we wish the FF a speedy recovery!

Rescue 8 along with Rescue 9 and Station 21/22 units on scene of this multiple car accident with entrapment a short time ago. Deputy 8 arrived at Bellevue Ave and Park Ave with entrapment in one vehicle that was on it side. Rescue 8 along with Rescue 9 arrived and stabilized the vehicle before removing the roof to gain access while Tower 21/Engine 22 provided fire protection for the scene. Extrication was complete with in 10 minutes and the company took up a short time later.

Rescue 8 making quick work of an auto fire a short time ago on Interstate 295 in the first due. Chief 8 arrived at mile marker 2.1 eastbound with an engine compartment. Rescue 8 arrived and went inservice with the 1.75” trash line to extinguish. Rescue and Engine 82 on scene and assisted as well.
