🌟 A Higher Ground Success Story 🌟
Today we are celebrating one incredible young woman and all she has accomplished in such a short time.
When Nicole arrived at Higher Ground Women’s Recovery Residence, she made a decision to change her life—and she has never looked back.
Since then, she has worked tirelessly to fulfill obligations and pay debts that accumulated before becoming part of the HGWRR family. She secured not one, but TWO jobs. Many of you may remember a previous post where we celebrated Nicole and another resident regaining their driver’s licenses after many years. That achievement alone was huge, but Nicole wasn’t finished.
She walked to work in the heat, the rain, and the cold. She often volunteered to cover shifts on her days off when others needed help. She never complained. She never asked for special treatment. She simply did what needed to be done to build a better future.
As if working two jobs wasn’t enough, Nicole also attended classes at Mountain Empire Community College for several months, investing in herself and her future.
What I admire most about Nicole is her determination. She has remained focused on improving herself, rebuilding her life, and working toward reunification with her family. She is living proof that recovery is about so much more than abstinence—it’s about becoming the person you were always meant to be.
Today, Nicole took another major step forward. Through hard work, sacrifice, and determination, she saved her money and purchased her very own car! 🚗🎉
Nicole is a true example that anything is possible when you have the right support network around you and the willingness to work for the life you want.
Please join us in congratulating Nicole—not just on her new car, but on her strength, her perseverance, and the amazing woman she is becoming. We couldn’t be more proud! ❤️
