We have 4 police recruits entering the Cape May County Police Academy tomorrow. This is the first time ever that Penns Grove Police Department has sent so many recruits to the academy at the same time. PGPD is making big moves. Recruit Bloom was quite attached to his beautiful hair but wished to share the ceremonial head shaving with the public. Good Luck!!!

🚨 VEHICLE THEFT ALERT 🚨
The Penns Grove Police Department is advising residents of an increase in motor vehicle thefts and break‑ins affecting all types of vehicles throughout the area. One common method involves thieves breaking into the center console area to access internal components that can help start or steal the vehicle.

What’s happening:
- Offenders are targeting multiple makes and models, not just specific brands.
- Breaking the center console can expose wiring or ignition components.
- These thefts are occurring across the area.
Protect your vehicle:
-Always lock your doors and remove keys/key fobs.
-Use a steering‑wheel lock as a visible deterrent.
-Park in well‑lit, populated areas whenever possible.
-Don’t leave valuables—especially electronics or firearms—in the center console.
-Consider installing an alarm or immobilizer system.
** If you see suspicious activity near a vehicle, or believe your vehicle has been tampered with, contact the Penns Grove Police Department immediately at 856‑299‑0055.
