FORMER MAYORS ENDORSEMENT LETTER OF COUNCIL CANDIDATES
ZAHRADNICK – SIMONSICK – TALARICO
To the Residents of Maple Shade,
We are writing to you today to ask for your support for John Zahradnick, Andrew Simonsick & Heather Talarico (ZS&T) in the upcoming, June 4, 2024, election. We have all watched how negative this campaign has become. We need to remain focused on what is at stake. This is one of the most important elections in decades. Change is desperately needed.
The incumbents have turned our township against one another. We can do better.
ZS&T have a bold vision. They will invest in our Township to ensure its future success. They have promised to:
Work to restore public trust.
Improve infrastructure and roads.
Address economic development opportunities Township-wide.
Invest in our parks and sports fields.
Protect our environment with green Initiatives.
Reinstate our all-volunteer Independent Fire Company.
Continue to grow & support our Police Department.
Stabilize taxes and generate a healthy surplus.
As former Mayors, we truly understand the seriousness of the job of being a member of Township Council. It is healthy to have genuine debate about the issues we face as Township residents. Collectively, we have always allowed our residents to comment on the council agendas, or any other township business, so that we could hear the public’s suggestions and listen to their ideas. There were no arbitrary time limits on residents who wanted to speak.
Please remember the Township Manager reports to the Township Council and the Township Council works for you, the residents. The incumbents have turned their backs on our residents and abdicated their authority.
As former Mayors and Councilmembers, we had the privilege of advancing our township forward, whether it was creating an Adopt a Field Program to improve our ballfields or parks each year, or supporting housing for our seniors, like the Maple Shade Mews, or creating genuine green initiatives to improve our environment and our overall quality of life. These are the type of initiatives the residents should be able to expect from their government. Good government translates into good public policy.
Let’s return to these types of improvements by voting for Zahradnick – Simonsick – Talarico on Tuesday, 6/4/24. Please Vote from the BOTTOM UP!
Thank you very much.
Former Mayors and Councilmembers,
Lou Manchello, Jim Fletcher and Jack Galloway
