Fall 2026 schedules going out to the kids...
NOTE THERE IS A CHANGE FOR 4 & 5 TUESDAY TENNIS PROGRAM AT THE PARK. IT WILL START ON TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 15 AND ENDS ON OCTOBER 20. SO...IT STARTS A WEEK EARLIER THEN WHAT IS ON THE ORANGE SCHEDULE GOING HOME TO THE KIDDOS.

Week 7 of our fun series "Let's Clear it Up." If you're new here, hi! We started a fun series called "Let's Clear it Up." Sometimes things can get confusing and you may be thinking something is for one thing, but it turns out it's for something completely different. So "Let's Clear it Up">>> BALLS....GOLF BALLS! Keep it clean and stay focused on the green...like our field that people like to practice their long and short range shots. Being that we're the recreation department and we offer a great number of athletic programs, we understand and value practice. After all, practice makes perfect. Right? But what we don't understand, and don't value is leaving golf balls behind and not cleaning them up. Do you know what it's like to be pelted with a golf ball flying from a zero turn? No? Me neither, and I'd never want to find out, or be the one that was on the mower to do it to someone else. We make a great effort to not hit these balls, but unfortunately the grass is growing like crazy and it's hard to see every one of them. Just like your mom and dad taught you as a child, make sure you clean up your mess. (Let's be honest, we all like to blame kids for things that happen in and around town, but I honestly don't see a kid choosing to pick up a golf club and practice their swings in the middle of the field at the park.) And another point, I know it can be hard to keep track of each ball, but let's try and problem solve. Maybe dont use a black ball, bright colors would be easier to see (I'd assume). Maybe don't hit so many at once? Or maybe go to a driving range? We love people using our park, there's so much we offer...by the way... Did anyone see the kickball game yesterday on the baseball field? I loved seeing it. Our goals are always to have people enjoy themselves, have fun, respect the park..clean up after themselves...work together...and keep everyone safe.
