U.S. Navy Blue Angels Welcome to the official page of the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels.

A Blue Angels flight demonstration exhibits choreographed refinements of skills possessed by all naval aviators. The Blue Angels’ C-130, affectionately known as Fat Albert, begins each demonstration by exhibiting its maximum performance capabilities during a ten-minute performance. Shortly thereafter, you will see the graceful aerobatic maneuvers of the four-jet Diamond Formation, in concert with

the fast-paced, high-performance maneuvers of its two Solo pilots. Finally, the team illustrates the pinnacle of precision flying, performing maneuvers locked as a unit in the renowned, six-jet Delta Formation.

We had the opportunity to fly one of Harrisburg’s hometown heroes! – Michael Mauti!

Michael Mauti, a former NFL linebacker, Penn State football captain, and current Associate Director of Development for Penn State Athletics, recognized for his leadership, resilience, and commitment to service. His collegiate career at Penn State is legendary, not only for his performance but for his perseverance in overcoming three ACL injuries.

Mauti’s dedication to service is rooted in his family’s legacy through the Mauti Cancer Fund. For over forty years, this organization has been a cornerstone for cancer education and advocacy in Louisiana. Under Michael’s leadership on the board, the fund has reached significant milestones, including a $500,000 endowment for the state’s first mobile CT lung screening unit. He also spearheads the annual Rich Mauti Tennis Classic, a signature event that raised $90,000 in 2025 to fund local screenings and patient support.

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to fly one of Vero Beach’s hometown heroes! – Phil Barnes!

For the majority of his professional career, Mr. Barnes has been a tireless champion for youth. He previously served with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County before becoming Executive Director of Youth Guidance in March of 2020.

Founded in 1973, Youth Guidance has impacted more than 20,000 local young people from low-income families. Under Mr. Barnes' leadership, the 50-year-old organization has been revitalized with a bold vision. Each year, approximately 250 children and teenagers benefit from innovative, high-quality programming designed to prepare them for academic success and meaningful careers.

His commitment to strengthening families and empowering young people is not only professional, it is deeply personal.
