Pensacola, join us next week for the season finale of the IHMC Evening Lecture Series with Dr. Jeffrey Becker exploring how ketamine alters consciousness and what this reveals about the structure of the waking mind.

Unlike classical psychedelics, ketamine acts on a receptor found throughout the brain, yet it can produce profound and often mystical shifts in experience. Dr. Becker will discuss evidence suggesting that, at low doses, ketamine disrupts inhibitory control within key neural networks, releasing rigid patterns of thought and enabling more flexible mental states. These effects offer insight into altered consciousness, antidepressant action, and the delicate balance between constraint and freedom that defines normal awareness.

Last month marked STEM-Talk's 10 year anniversary. In true celebratory fashion, we invited one of our favorite STEM-Talk guests Dr. Tommy Wood to discuss his mission to dispel the myth that the brain is doomed to decline with age.

This was a special conversation that took place on the eve of the release of his first book entitled "The Stimulated Mind: Future-Proof Your Brain from Dementia and Stay Sharp at Any Age" which offers science-backed strategies to enhance mental sharpness and prevent cognitive decline, including Alzheimer’s disease.

We HIGHLY recommend his work, and after listening to this interview... you'll probably agree with our assessment.

Please share this with any and all who are thirsty for knowledge.
