God is at work, even in the seasons we wish we could skip. 🍂 For many who walk through the doors of Waterfront Mission, that season is a difficult one, and they’re ready for change.

We meet them where they are, point them toward Christ and equip them with the resources, skills and Christian foundation they need for the path ahead.

Lesley came to our Pensacola Mission a few months ago searching for stability and direction. Through her time in our Cornerstone Rescue Program, she found more than that. She was spiritually encouraged, began finding answers to questions she had about life and faith, and recently made the life-changing decision to give her life to Christ.

For 77 years, Waterfront’s story has been shaped by faithful people who believed in the Mission. Few know that story better than Bob Rogers. From volunteer, to Board member, to employee and one of Waterfront’s greatest storytellers, Bob has been a dedicated part of the Mission’s history since he started as a board member in 1988.

As the longest-serving member of the Waterfront family, he has witnessed our growth, change, and impact of the ministry firsthand.

Bob, thank you for your decades of faithful service and your servant’s heart. We’re incredibly grateful for the countless ways you’ve poured into Waterfront and for the role you continue to play in our story.

Earlier this week, Waterfront Thrift celebrated National Thrift Store Day!

As we celebrate Waterfront Rescue Mission’s 77th anniversary, we’re thankful for the financial impact our thrift stores have made throughout the years. Our first thrift store opened in 1963 on Pottery Plant Road in Pensacola — now Fairfield Drive, home to our largest store today.

Thank you for continuing to shop with a purpose and support the Mission’s work in our community!
