Need to get rid of some bulk items? Here’s a quick refresher on ECUA’s Bulk Pickup service. 🛋️

For a complete list of accepted items, Extra Sanitation Service information, and Bulk Pickup guidelines, visit our website: https://www.ecua.fl.gov/177/Residential-Customers

Please note: Due to an operational change, mattresses must now be kept separate from other bulk items when placed for collection.

In most cases, your bulk items will be collected as usual. However, in some instances, crews may need to collect the mattress and remaining bulk items separately. If all items aren’t collected at the same time, your pickup has not been forgotten. Our crews will return to complete the collection.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we adjust operations while continuing to provide reliable service.

📲 Ready to schedule a Bulk Pickup? Requests can be made through the MyECUA app, by calling ECUA Customer Service, or by emailing Customer Service:

Things you barely notice 🤝 Things you're glad exist.

Manholes, lift stations, wells and water valves all play a behind-the-scenes role in keeping your water and wastewater services running.

Some of the most important things around you are the ones you rarely think about (and we like to keep it that way)!

08/12/2026

We're always ready to talk about the Core Four. 😌♻️

1. Mixed paper and cardboard
2. Metal food and beverage cans
3. Plastic containers labeled #1 and #2
4. Glass jars and bottles

Keep your recyclables loose in the bin, not bagged. Plastic bags and film can tangle up equipment at the recycling facility.

Prefer to bag your recyclables? Use a paper bag instead.

Have plastic bags to recycle? Take them to a participating store drop-off.

Nothing says "thank you" like a BAM! Snoball on a hot summer day. 🍧

Last week, our employees enjoyed unlimited snoballs as a small token of appreciation for their dedication and the work they do every day to serve our community.

A big thank you to BAM Snoballs for visiting multiple ECUA locations throughout the week and helping us celebrate the incredible people who keep our water flowing, our neighborhoods clean, and our services running strong.

We appreciate all of our employees for everything they do. 💙💚

A little compost goes a long way! 🌻

The Pollinator Garden at the Century Library is thriving, and we're proud to have played a small part in helping it grow.

Planted by the Escambia Extension Service Horticulture team with native and Florida-friendly plants grown by Escambia County Master Gardener volunteers, this garden provides valuable habitat for bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. It was also planted using ECUA Compost, adding organic matter to help support healthy plants.

It's a great reminder that compost doesn't just reduce waste. It helps create beautiful, thriving landscapes that benefit our community and local wildlife.

📍 Stop by the Century Library to see the colorful blooms for yourself!
