It is with the deepest regret that I announce the closing of the sensory gym effective February 8th. WE WILL HONOR ALL FIELD TRIPS, PARTIES AND GROUPS THAT ARE BOOKED FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY. My husband and I have given everything we have to the gym, leaving only our home which I am unwilling to risk. It was a dream for children with special needs and their families to be able to play in a judgement free zone, but for whatever reason, it just didn't generate enough interest. We would like to reopen later this year in a different area with a lower rent (although our landlord has been extremely gracious). The cost is currently 6,ooo a month to keep it open and I am sure you can understand the burden that is for one family to carry. Our hearts are broken over the families that have enjoyed the gym and no business owner could ask for more from a dedicated, talented and special staff. J.B. Schluter is the landlord and a kinder man you will never meet. We will keep our page active with ideas for sensory bins, ways to meet your child's special needs and updates on our facilitated communication group.
With kind regards, and many tears,
Kelley Ryals
