Training Air Wing SIX The official page of the Training Air Wing SIX. Like their U.S. counterparts, international students can be found in our entire training pipeline.

TRAWING SIX trains and graduates approximately 300 United States Navy, Marine Corps, and international students annually. Students from Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore represent approximately ten percent of the total.

PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Training Air Wing Six (CTW-6) hosted Tulane University NROTC CO Paul Bowditch (CAPT USN), XO Jeremy Braun (CDR USN), and seven midshipmen from New Orleans, Louisiana for a familiarization tour of the facilities on April 29. The students toured Training Squadron (VT) 10 and VT 86 during their day long visit. Additionally, each student was given individual instruction in the CTW-6 T-45C simulators.

CTW-6 is responsible for all Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA) Naval Flight Officer training and production, graduating 300 United States Navy, Marine Corps and Foreign Military Service (FMS) students annually.

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Squadron Spotlight: Training Squadron TEN

Training Squadron TEN (VT-10) proudly serves as the "NFO Gateway to the Fleet." The mission of Training Squadron TEN is to provide world class Primary & Intermediate Student Naval Flight Officer training and prepare aircrew to fly with courage, fight with honor, and lead with commitment.


VT-10 has been awarded 7 Meritorious Unit Commendations and 2 Chief of Naval Education and Training "Shore/Technical Training Excellence Awards", the most recent in 2024. "Wildcat" safety initiatives have earned the squadron 31 Chief of Naval Operations Safety Awards, most recently in 2024. Additionally, due to the squadron's incredible safety record, it has received the ADM John H. Towers Award for safety in 1978, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013.

The class members were given a tour of NAS Pensacola culminating with lectures from TRAWING-SIX CDRE Doug White (CAPT USN), MATSG-21 CO Andrew Turner (COL USMC), Blue Angels CO Adam Bryan (CDR USN) and Blue Angels XO Bryce Aubuchon (CDR USN).

PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Training Air Wing Six (CTW-6) was honored to attend a brief by retired Navy Commander William P. "W***y" Driscoll on April 9th, 2025 at an All-Hands meeting at Naval Aviation Schools Command. Commander Driscoll is a Navy Flying Ace from Vietnam, having received the Navy Cross, two Silver Stars, the Purple Heart, and ten Air Medals.

PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Training Air Wing Six (CTW-6) hosted five Sargent High School students from Monte Vista, Colorado, for a familiarization tour of the facilities March 20. The students, all part of an aviation program at the school, toured Training Squadron (VT) 10 and VT 86 during their day long visit, as well as received a hands-on experience in the CTW-6 T-45C simulators. PENSACOLA, Fla. — General Christopher Mahoney, Assistant Commandant of The Marine Corps, visited Training Wing (CTW6) 6 on September 6 to learn about the Wing's Air Vehicle Pilot (AVP) program. During his visit, he received a briefing from AVP instructors and spoke with Commodore Capt. Douglas "Cricket" White. An Air Vehicle Pilot operates unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones. This role includes flying the aircraft and managing its systems, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and conducting missions that may involve surveillance, data collection, or research.
