Every time a fire engine races to an emergency or a deputy answers a 911 call, the penny is quietly at work behind the scenes. Our Local Option Sales Tax has funded new fire stations, patrol vehicles, body cameras and modernized training facilities that support the first responders who keep Escambia County and City of Pensacola residents safe.

Renewing the penny in November keeps these critical funds available for first responders. See how the penny works for public safety here: https://www.pennyforescambia.com/news/the-pennys-vital-role-in-public-safety
