💙 Thank you for inviting us to be part of this year's National Night Out!

It was a wonderful evening connecting with families, meeting neighbors, and celebrating the partnerships that make Pensacola such a special place to call home.

At City Parking, being part of our community means more than helping people find a parking space. It means being there to offer directions, answer questions, help visitors feel welcome, maintain clean and safe parking facilities, and lend a hand whenever we can.

Being a Parking Ambassador is exactly that—being an ambassador for our community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, ask questions, and spend time with us. We were proud to stand alongside so many organizations dedicated to making Pensacola a safe, welcoming, and vibrant place for everyone.

🚶 MYTH: "Parking downtown means a long walk."

💙 FACT: City Parking is available on Palafox, near Palafox, and throughout downtown—with many parking options just a 2–5 minute walk from Palafox Place.

If the closest space is full, there are additional City lots and the Jefferson Street Parking Garage just a short stroll away.

A few helpful reminders:

♿ All City Parking is FREE for vehicles displaying a valid handicap placard or license plate.

👵 Senior Pass holders can park in any City-managed parking space, including the Jefferson Street Parking Garage.

🔵 Look for the blue signs with 2-digit zone numbers to find City Parking.

If your kiddo has ever watched in awe the expert precision of the equipment operators from Pensacola Sanitation picking up everything from sticks to couches, well they've got a chance to see these guys in action! They'll be bringing a recycling truck and a knuckleboom to 2026 National Night Out Touch-a-Truck and Police K9 Demo.

We'll also have City Public Works on site showing off their street sweepers and Vac truck - instrumental equipment keeping our city clean and storm water systems flowing.

We can't forget from Pensacola Fire who will be bringing a big red truck we are in no way jealous of. Capable of carrying up to 1,000 gallons of water, they're pretty much the City's version of an emotional support water bottle keeping our entire community safe when it comes to fire response,

And a Park Pensacola ambassador will be with us with his "wait, that's not a Ford Ranger". Probably the most fuel efficient vehicle in the City fleet, you'll find these guys throughout the City.

Meet Your Parking Ambassador: Trevor Brown

When you see Trevor Brown Downtown, you're seeing someone who truly embodies what it means to be a Parking Ambassador.

Since 2023 Trevor has been going above and beyond every day to help keep residents and visitors alike a little safer – even if they don’t realize that’s what he’s doing.

His dedication to serving others has been demonstrated time and again. Last fall, Trevor's quick thinking and compassion during an emergency in the Jefferson Street Parking Garage earned him recognition as the City of Pensacola Employee of the Month for December 2025. Then again this past May, he stepped in to assist a visitor who had fallen, providing first aid and helping him safely back to his vehicle.

When asked about helping, Trevor simply said:

"Well... I just did what I would do if that was my grandpa."

That simple statement says everything.

Our Parking Ambassadors do much more than help people park. They're here to answer questions, provide assistance, respond to emergencies, and help make downtown Pensacola a safe, welcoming place for everyone.

Thank you, Trevor, for your kindness, compassion, and commitment to serving our community. We're proud to have you on the Park Pensacola team! 💙👏

🚗 One parking option doesn't fit everyone.

Some people are downtown for 30 minutes. Others are here every day. Some visit once a month. Others enjoy downtown every weekend.

That's why City Parking continues to introduce more choices—from our Senior Parking Permit, Local Discount program and FREE Sunday parking to additional parking options and improvements designed to make parking easier for every type of visitor.

All City curbside parking remains FREE through October 1. Then, beginning October 5, the next phase of the City Parking program provides options, added flexibility, and improved technology designed to better serve residents, businesses, employees, and visitors.

Because more choices mean a parking experience that works better for everyone.

And when parking is easier, it's easier to enjoy Downtown Pensacola.

Until then, all City curbside parking remains FREE, giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy everything Downtown Pensacola has to offer while work continues.
