Today, members of UWFPD had the opportunity to attend the 3rd Annual Tri-County Military Forum hosted right here on campus.

It was an outstanding event bringing together professionals from across the region to network, exchange ideas, and discuss the future of our military.

Thank you to Congressman Patronis for taking time to visit with our team.

🚔 WE’RE HIRING POLICE OFFICERS 🚔

Before anyone asks… no, Argie cannot fill the position. He already has a full-time job taking pictures with students, avoiding actual responsibility, and somehow becoming the most recognizable face on campus.

At UWFPD, no two days are the same. This is a department where you can have a real impact while still enjoying the job and the people beside you.

Come join the ARGO team!!!

🎉 Happy Birthday to UWFPD Captain Faircloth! 🎉

Today we celebrate a man who has spent so many years in law enforcement that he probably started his career writing reports on stone tablets. Rumor has it his first patrol car had a cassette player and no power steering.

Happy Birthday, Cap! Since you didn't get a step stool for your birthday, we made sure to put you up front so everyone could see you on your BIG day! 🫢🤣

🚔 Meet ‘Em Monday 🚔

This week we’re highlighting Lindsay from Dispatch! Lindsay has been part of the UWFPD family for 3 years, and we’re thankful to have her on the team.

When she’s not answering phones, dispatching calls, and playing hero for our officers behind the scenes, she’s busy being a real-life superhero as a dedicated soccer mom to her kids.

Thank you, Lindsay, for everything you do for UWFPD and our ARGO community!

Today our team stopped by to congratulate Coach McLean, reigning Coach of the Year for University of West Florida Softball. Coach McLean continues to inspire student-athletes both on and off the field, and we’re proud to celebrate the impact she has on the Argos community.

We also had to grab a photo with her biggest fan, her dad, who was there supporting his forever favorite softball player.

Congratulations on this well-deserved honor, coach!

At UWF, no call is too small, today Officer Lopes went full Priority 1 response for a turtle tangled in fishing line. We know, we know… “it’s just a turtle.” But here, no call is too small, no turtle is left behind.

Rumor is.. Officer Lopes is going to request being promoted to the new Marine/Wildlife Rescue Officer, pending the approval of the Chief! 🤔🫡
