The final day of STEM Academy was spent at the Cat Tech Center where the students learned and experienced how Cat uses virtual reality. Thanks Caterpillar! And thanks to Eric and the Peoria Heights VFW for being our transportation!

Today the students showed some of their work to the rest of the group. The first picture shows a basketball going through a hoop, programmed from scratch by the two students pictured. The class also learned some C # programming.
Special thanks to Goodwill Commons for hosting us, and to Bradley professors Zach and Lynette for doing the teaching!

Today the students started working with their Meta Quest 3 headsets. They will learn how to program their own basic VR games over the next 2 days.

STEM Academy 2024 is underway this week. We are working with virtual and augmented reality. Today (Tuesday) we took a field trip to Bradley University to tour the Interactive Media Department and hear from their professors about video game design, art, and programming.
