Protect our polls! No armed agents!

Call, write, or visit your U.S. Senators and Representative and demand they uphold the law and block the use of FBI, ICE, military or any other federal troops at polling places targeting Latino voters and voters of color.

Demand immediate passage of S. 4845, the Protect Our Polls Act, introduced by Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D–MI). The bill would require congressional approval before any president could deploy troops or armed agents to polling places, and it would prohibit military personnel and federal agencies from accessing election records preserved under federal law.

Happy Birthday Louise Thompson Patterson!

Comrade Patterson is an unsung heroine of the African American freedom movement and proponent of socialism. Along with Claudia Jones and others, she theorized the triple oppression (race, class and gender) of African American and other women of color. She was also a co-theorizer along with her husband, William L. Patterson, of the centrality of the Black freedom movement to fight against racism and class unity.
