The City of Peoria IL Fire Department held Fire extinguisher training at the heart of Illinois special recreation Association HISRA. Today’s fire extinguisher training put on by Captain Shane Pomeroy of the Peoria Fire prevention bureau was given for the staff of the heart of Illinois special recreation association. This training is in preparation for a busy summer of fun activities for the special needs community of the Peoria area.

Emergency Communications Telecommunicators (ECTs) are the link between those in need and those who can help.

Compensation details:
📌 New ECTs start at $28.05 per hour
📌 Lateral hires can make up to $41.93 per hour
📌 Lateral hires will also receive a $6,000 lateral bonus (paid in increments)
📌 Pay scale is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and placement into the scale is based on experience and qualifications
