The Peoria County Election Commission is hiring an Election Specialist - Warehouse Operations, as well as an Election Specialist, Part Time.

The Election Specialist - Warehouse Operations manages, maintains, and troubleshoots voting system equipment, while staying in compliance with local, state, and federal election laws. The Election Specialist also assists with various duties relating to the administration of elections and voter registration. Additionally, the Election Specialist will train and supervise temporary election specialists and election judges.

The Election Specialist, Part Time assists with various duties relating to the administration of elections and voter registration, assists with training and appointment of election judges and deputy registrars, and prepares correspondence and provides clerical support.

To work as an Election Judge, you must...
- Be a U.S. citizen registered to vote in Peoria County
- Have proficiency in the English language
- Complete in-person and online training
- Be capable of lifting 20 lbs
- Be available to work the entire election day (5am-8pm)

The Peoria County Election Commission is now hiring for the Executive Director position.

The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of the administration of the Election Commission. Duties include the application of all statutory requirements in maintaining the permanent registry of voters and in the planning, organizing and conducting of local, state and federal elections in the County of Peoria. The Executive Director is the liaison to the community, other government agencies and members of the press for the Board of Election Commissioners.

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field with a minimum of two years of both management and election administration experience. Must possess a strong technical aptitude and strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based software. Must be detail-oriented and able to work under the pressure of deadlines. Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective solutions to challenges. Strong public relations skills. Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license.
