Since the Peoria PlayHouse Children's Museum is closed for renovations, they are bringing their Open Art Studio to Peoria Public Library!

Visit Lincoln Branch every Tuesday in September from 10 AM to Noon and explore a variety of art forms like painting, collage, sculpture, and more.
Free and open to ages 0 to 5.

Play solo or build a team. We'll have gift cards to local businesses for the Top 3 winners! We'll have complimentary snackies too!

The Slash Sisters will test your knowledge of horror movies past and present.

We're very excited to be bringing food trucks to this year's Local Teen Craft & Author Fair, including Travelin' Tom's Coffee of East Peoria. Yum!

You may start seeing something that looks a little different on our shelves.

In an effort to save a little money while also giving our patrons quick access to the most popular titles, Peoria Public Library is beginning a leasing program with our publishers.
What does this mean?

For you, it means we will have more copies of the hot titles you want to read.
For us, it means we can meet your wishes while the surge of popularity is there, but we can return excess books once demand fades – saving us both some money and shelf space.
So, if you see a book with an orange band at the bottom, don’t worry. It’s not a content warning. It’s just to let our staff know that it is a leased book.

Peoria Public Library is accepting applications for a Full-Time Reference Assistant, with familiarity with computers and personal technology.

The ideal candidate can enthusiastically create and present programs that reflect the technology needs of the Main Library community, demonstrate a strong commitment to working with the public, and facilitate learning opportunities for diverse interests.
Deadline to apply is NOON, Monday, Aug. 31

Pay is $20.50/hour with excellent benefits.
