As the sun sets on another unforgettable summer camp experience, we wrapped up Week 10 with a splash! 🎉 This week, we celebrated with an exciting ribbon-cutting ceremony, welcomed our special guest, the mayor, and made some waves at the pool! 🏊‍♂️✨

It’s incredible to see the joy and growth in our campers over these past few weeks. From forging new friendships to discovering hidden talents, they’ve truly made the most of their summer! As they prepare to head back to school, we’re sending them off with memories to cherish and a renewed sense of confidence. Here’s to new beginnings and the adventures that lie ahead!

🐾✨ Calling all animal lovers! Did you know that Critter Meals on Wheels is here to lend a paw to homebound seniors in our community? We're on a mission to ensure that no furry friend goes hungry! 🐶❤️ Right now, we urgently need your help to stock up our pet food supplies. If you can, please drop off at Neighborhood House between 7:30AM - 3:00PM or order and have delivered to 1020 S. Matthew Street, Peoria, IL 61605 and make a difference in the lives of both seniors and their beloved pets. Together, we can spread love and nourishment one meal at a time! 🥰🐾

Earlier this week, we gathered at the University United Methodist Church's ice cream social to celebrate over 12 years of impactful partnership with our Sunday Meals mission. It's incredible to see how a simple act, like sharing a meal, can unite us in purpose and community. Here’s to many more years of service, collaboration, and, yes, ice cream! Flashback Friday: Happy Times Ahead for Area Handicapped Children — June 15, 1955 🌲🏊 It was a red-letter day! 40 handicapped children boarded the bus for our brand-new $40,000 camp near Chillicothe, custom-built for kids with cardiac, post-polio, and orthopedic conditions. Swimming, handicraft, outdoor cooking, and short hikes — happy times, indeed. 💙

As our Summer Day Camp begins to wind down, we are feeling all the feels! It is hard to believe how fast this summer has flown by, but what a summer it has been. We've pulled some of our favorite photos for this week's collection. 📸

As we look back on this amazing summer, our hearts are full. From field trips and pool days to crafts, movies, and so much more — our campers showed up every single day ready to learn, grow, and have fun together. These throwback moments remind us just how much we have packed into this summer!

This isn’t just any tasting; it’s an opportunity to deepen our community connections while savoring the nuances of fine wines. Each participant is invited to bring two identical bottles of wine—let’s see if we can pick out the subtleties and surprise each other!
