Want to know a secret?
Peoria Public Library has an underground used book store where almost everything is $1 or less.
The hours are limited, but the staff (volunteers, all of them) are super nice.

Right now, Friendly Finds Bookstore is overflowing with children's books, which is probably a good thing since school has just started back.
Open today (Sat., Aug. 9) from noon to 4 PM. Located on lower level 2 of Main Library.

Our Uniquely Abled programs, designed in conjunction with Tazewell County Resource Centers, inspire creativity while reinforcing important social skills. Our next event is July 17, when we'll be making gorgeous gemstone suncatchers!

Did you know you can use your Peoria Public Library card to visit the Riverfront Museum for free?

Each branch of Peoria Public Library has one pass to check out on a first-come, first-served basis. The pass can be used on the day of checkout or the following day. The pass includes general admission to all exhibits, galleries, and daytime planetarium shows for two adults and their children or grandchildren.*

Passes must be checked out in person at the Information Desk. (Again, all PPL locations have one.)

Please note that passes are non-transferable. Borrowing patrons will be asked for photo identification and their library card to gain admission to the museum.

*Covers admission to the galleries and planetarium. Additional charges for special exhibits or giant screen theater shows may apply. Children and grandchildren must be under 18 years old.
