All 4-H Shooting Sports members are eligible to register for the state shoots.

The Illinois 4-H 2026 State Shoots registration is open!

Register anytime before August 31 through your 4-H ZSuite account for upcoming State Shoots! Junior Division is for youth ages 11-12 by September 1, and Senior Division is for youth ages 13-18 by September 1.

Archery: September 19, 2026, in Pekin, IL
Shotgun: September 26, 2026, in Bunker Hill, IL

Exciting news for Peoria 4-H member Caitlin Murphy!

Scholarship spotlight!

Leadership Scholarship recipient Caitlin Murphy of Peoria County shared, "To me, 4-H means community. Throughout my 10 years in 4-H, I have had the opportunity to meet and develop relationships with tons of people across the nation, building a vast community that I know I will always be welcome in."

Peoria County 4-H Show week is in full swing! Come check out the activities today at Stark County fairgrounds.

The same is true for Peoria 4-H Show. This is full of great information you can review with your 4-H member as we get closer to the 4-H Show.

At most county fairs, 4-H members participate in consultation judging. The 4-H member sits with a judge and tells them all about their project. The judge will ask questions about the project, how it was created, where they got the inspiration or how they learned something. For younger 4-H members, this one-on-one conversation is their start to public speaking - talking with a judge and explaining a process.

Well, the rain over the weekend was great for the crops, but not so good for our phone lines. We are without our regular office landline until further notice. However, you can reach the staff in the Peoria office through email, their direct Teams phone number, or by calling our office in Tazewell and they will pass on a message for staff to call you back. 309-347-6614.
