Nothing beats good food and great friends. Thanks to everyone who came out to our CICBVI summer BBQ tonight! Thank you to our volunteers Mark and Rick for throwing down on the grill for us! 🌭☀️🥤 Another thank you to Jamie and Chandra for their constant support. And a huge shoutout to Evie and Merry for the delicious cakes that topped off a perfect night. 🍰✨

Missed the chance to join us? That’s okay! We’re doing it one more time this summer. 😀 Our next BBQ-styled meal is happening July 21st at the center. Call to get signed up, you won’t want to miss it 🍔🥗🍗

This year, June 23rd marks TogetherTuesday, a new National Day of Action focused on community-powered generosity. It is a day dedicated to showing up for one another through simple acts of kindness, volunteering, and local engagement. As we look toward this day, I am asking you to join me in supporting the Central Illinois Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. There are two impactful ways you can help us foster independence and accessibility for our participants:

Make a Donation: Your financial contribution directly supports our essential educational initiatives and community programming.

Volunteer Your Time: We are always looking for support with our community-based outreach and events, such as our annual fundraisers and monthly events. Offering your time to help drive participants to events or assist with our initiatives makes a tangible difference in their daily lives.

Whether you choose to donate or volunteer, your involvement helps us continue the vital work we do here in Central Illinois.
