Our students explored the stages of the Moon and learned how the Moon orbits Earth and changes in appearance based on sunlight. 🌕🌖🌗🌘

Using OREO cookies, students created the different phases of the Moon, using the cookie layers to represent light and darkness. 🍪✨

Our STEAMS Academy Discovery Lab took students to the moon yesterday!

Students explored the effects of meteors hitting the moon by creating their own moon surfaces using everyday household items. Then, they dropped their own “meteors” onto the surface and observed the craters created by each impact! ☄️🌑

This meeting is for parents who are new to the Parent Mentor Program and interested in joining. To be eligible, you must have a child attending one of the schools listed on the attached flyer.

Mitch Gilfillan has opened his camp for 10 young people who attend the Peoria Friendship House STEAMS Academy program. Camp begins this Saturday at Lakeview Recreation Center for 2nd- and 3rd-graders ONLY, 3:00 PM- 5:00 PM.

Please DM us here so that we can give more details. Your child has to be registered for our after-school program.
