Is your fire number sign faded, damaged, missing, or hidden in a bush? It is the responsibility of property owners to make sure that their address sign is clearly visible from a public road or highway.

Keeping your fire number sign visible and maintained is essential for public safety so that the fire department, ambulance, or law enforcement can find your property in a timely manner.

If you need a new fire number sign, you can purchase a replacement sign for $25 from the Pepin County Zoning Office.

Last night we conducted our annual extrication training along with Pepin Ambulance Service who joined us.

Each year we practice cutting a car apart, safely and with the intent to access a patient for EMS to care for. There are so many different techniques and ways to do things and we like to test them and figure out what works best for our department to utilize in the event it’s necessary.

Having EMS alongside these types of training help guide what achieves the priority of patient access safely.

Flags of Valor take down crew after taking down all the flags, folding each and every one and placing them back in their storage bins and packed back into the trailer. We are so grateful to be part of this wonderful event annually.

However, after sharing yesterday’s post and the upset it caused, we will no longer be sharing Nixle alerts unless they are weather related.
