Continuing our Student of the Week features is Jill Helmin! Jill is a junior and the daughter of Gayle Schultz and Jeff Helmin.

In her free time, Jill enjoys being outside, hanging out with friends, and going on car rides. She loves participating in volleyball and working, and she is most looking forward to homecoming week this school year!

Currently, Jill is enjoying her online Speech class through CVTC. Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Pommerening because she provides a calm atmosphere and is fun to be around. Lastly, Jill's favorite animal is an anteater.

The third Student of the Week is Eliza Rundquist! Eliza is a sophomore and the daughter of Amanda and David Rundquist.

In her free time, Eliza enjoys painting, reading, and bowling. She also loves going shopping with her friends and playing with her dogs at home. This school year, she is most looking forward to Homecoming week, especially the dress-up days and door decorating!

Currently, Eliza is enjoying her Horticulture and Choir classes. Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Pommerening because she is relaxed and puts up with her classmates' shenanigans. Lastly, her favorite food is alfredo pasta.

The second Student of the Week for Pepin Area Schools is Freshman Charlie Hughes! 🌟

Charlie is the son of Kelly Kallstrom and Brandon Hughes. Outside of school, he enjoys hunting, fishing, playing sports, and hanging out with his friends, family, and dogs. 🐕🏈

He’s currently enjoying Biology with his favorite teacher, Mr. Gilles, and is looking forward to taking PE next semester. Fun fact: Charlie’s favorite food is steak! 🥩

We are thrilled to launch a brand-new weekly feature! Each week, Pepin Middle High School will highlight 4 Students of the Week. We’re kicking things off with our very first honoree! Help us congratulate our first Student of the Week: Josclyn Wojcinski, a Freshman, daughter of Sara and Jesse Muenkel. Some of Josclyn’s favorite things to do in her free time are dancing, drawing, riding bike, and basketball. Josclyn loves playing outside and walking in her free time. Josclyn is most looking forward to having good grades this school year. Currently, she is enjoying Math with her favorite teacher, Mrs. Erickson. Lastly, Josclyn’s favorite food is a burger and her favorite animals are ducks. Congratulations, Josclyn and keep up the outstanding work!
