The Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle Annual Rummage Sale begins THURSDAY, 7/16 at 10am at the Barns behind the tennis courts on the Orange Schools campus. Parking is available in the stadium and PPLC lots with shuttle service to the Barns! See flyer for times. Something for everyone...have a sneak peek! Congratulations to our own shining star, Miriam Patton, who was selected in the TOP 25 of the “Shining Star CLE Competition” for the second year in a row! The OHS junior has graced the stage in numerous productions at the Orange Schools and through Stagecrafters and was a Playhouse Square Dazzle Awards Nominee for Best Supporting Actress in 2025. Shining Star CLE is presented by the Mandel JCC. Finals will be held at Playhouse Square on August 23rd at 6:30pm. Break a leg, Miriam…we are proud you are ORANGE!

We are proud to announce that 39 Orange High School students have been honored through the College Board National Recognition Program for their exceptional academic achievements. These students earned this prestigious distinction by maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher and demonstrating outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT® and/or AP® Exams.

It’s almost time for the treasure hunt!!! Saturday, 7/11 is the last opportunity for Kiwanis Rummage Sale drop-offs. The Big Sale is this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (see dates/times below) at the Kiwanis Barns on the Orange Schools campus. Come early, come often to find your treasures and support the Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle mission of helping children in our schools, community, and around the world!!!

School may be out for the summer, but the campus is buzzing with excitement over the annual Safety Town program hosted by Orange Community Education & Recreation and assisted by our wonderful COMMUNITIES-WIDE First Responders and amazing student volunteers! Eighty preschoolers heading to kindergarten this fall are involved in the program which teaches essential fire, bike, water, and pedestrian safety skills and gives the students a hands-on, engaging experience in working with police, fire, and safety forces. The four-day camp runs through Thursday. Thank you to all of our wonderful officers and firefighters from all of our surrounding communities for making this program such a success! We are so lucky to have you all on hand! Wishing everyone a safe and happy 4th of July weekend!!! Come join us for a little old-fashioned fun this Fourth of July!

America turns 250 this year, and we're celebrating the right way - with a neighborhood bike parade up Gates Mills Boulevard, led by the Pepper Pike Fire Engine and escorted by our Police, just like parades are supposed to be.

Kids, decorate your bikes and line up at the head of Gates Mills Blvd. across from City Hall at 9:50 a.m. The parade will kick off at 10:00! We'll roll up the boulevard together, fire engine out front, all the way to the midpoint of Gates Mills at Lander- then ride back through our Gates Mills Linear Park.

The parade ends right at Pepper Pike Park, so bring your snacks and picnic baskets, let the kids loose on the playground, and enjoy a little time together as neighbors before everyone heads off to their family celebrations.

Families, neighbors, and community organizations are all welcome to join the fun. Whether it is in your convertible or your historical car, walking your dog or simply marching in the parade all are welcome. If you like to watch the parade and cheer from the sidelines parking is available at Friendship Circle or side roads.

Come for the parade. Stay for the Trail.
