The Town of Peralta is aware of the concern that our residents have regarding the river levels. The Town is working closely with the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District and the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Village of Bosque Farms to monitor the river and make sure that we are prepared for any issues that should arise. So last night was the last straw for me. I know myself and several others are getting really sick of the non-town sanctioned firework displays. There are a lot of us around here who have livestock and other animals who don't handle the loud and "scary" fireworks very well. I really wish that the town would pass a law about these. Its not the people shooting off the fireworks that have to go search in the dark for their scared pet who ran off. Its not the people setting off the fireworks that have to pay for an emergency vet bill because your livestock got injured because they were scared and running just to end up hurt. It's not the people setting off fireworks that have to cage up their scared animals. I understand I live in the country but I also know that I'm not the only one with this issue. We live in the country and we have livestock and animals who don't handle it well!! Please can we do something about this!?!?!?!?
