The Pennridge School District's page operates as a limited public forum, where the public may comment publicly on the district’s posts – subject to certain guidelines, as outlined in Pennridge School District Board of School Directors Policy 816. The page is maintained by the Pennridge School District, Director of Communication and Community Relations. No personal attacks

Any posts, comments, shares, or other interaction that violate these policies are subject to deletion and reporting to Facebook under their "Bullying, Harassment, and Hate Speech" rules which could result in the loss of Facebook/Meta privilege. No posts promoting violence or illegal conduct. No comments that promote, suggest, or encourage illegal activity or incite violence. No comments that promote or endorse commercial products, services, or businesses. No posts that contain personal information. No posts that contain false or libelous statements. No posts that are spamming in nature (the same comment posted repeatedly). No political posts or endorsements. No posts or comments that are intentionally misleading, degrading, or off-topic from the original nature of the post or comment preceding. Individual comments or posts that violate the above guidelines may be deleted (if possible given the social media platform) without further notice. Posts may not be deleted simply because they are critical of the school district or promote an unpopular opinion if the post otherwise complies with the above guidelines. School district social media account operators may not block users from accessing the school district’s social media posts, unless, under the Facebook guidelines, the actor is violating the set rules of Facebook content. The Director of Communications and Community Relations shall refer any user who repeatedly violates the above guidelines to the Superintendent and/or law enforcement for appropriate penalties.

As Pennridge begins the 2026–2027 school year, our district focus is clear: High Expectations. Quality Instruction. Student Achievement.

As part of that work, Pennridge staff continued professional learning with Dr. Jenna Mancini Rufo, founder and CEO of empowerED School Solutions, whose session focused on Teaching Without Limits: Building Environments of High Expectations, Support, and Belonging.

Dr. Rufo’s message connected directly to our goals for the year by reminding us that students learn best when they feel they belong, when barriers to learning are reduced, and when instruction is designed so all students can access, engage with, and show what they know. This work is part of Universal Design for Learning, or UDL, which is simply about planning learning in thoughtful ways so students have multiple pathways to succeed.

Through reflection, practical strategies, and powerful examples, Dr. Rufo encouraged staff to think about how classrooms can be both challenging and supportive. Her message reinforced that high expectations and belonging are not separate ideas; they work together.

We are grateful for the continued professional learning and partnerships helping Pennridge strengthen instruction, support students, and build learning environments where every student can grow, contribute, and achieve.

Monday afternoon was a wonderful opportunity for our new Principals to help lay the foundation for an incredible school year. We stopped by The Pennridge High School- PSD Pennridge Central Middle School- PSD Pennridge South Middle School- PSD and Bedminster Elementary School- PSD as Principals and their staff members met for the first time. What a powerful way to begin the 2026–2027 school year!

Pennridge welcomed more than 1,000 staff members back for Convocation, where Superintendent Dr. Angelo Berrios helped set the tone for the year ahead around our district focus: High Expectations. Quality Instruction. Student Achievement. The morning celebrated the people, progress, summer work, and shared purpose that make Pennridge strong.

We were also honored to welcome Dr. Tracey Severns, founder of Teach4Results, whose keynote blended humor, research, practical classroom strategies, and heartfelt encouragement. Her message reminded us that great teaching is about helping students understand what they are learning, why it matters, what success looks like, and how mistakes can become powerful opportunities for growth.

Thank you to our incredible Pennridge staff for beginning the year with such energy, pride, and commitment to students.

We are proud to share that Pennridge High School has once again been recognized as a U.S. News Best High School in the newly released 2026–2027 Best High Schools rankings!

This year, Pennridge High School is ranked 150th in Pennsylvania, continuing a steady climb over the past several years.
In 2021, PHS was ranked #247 in the state. Since then, Pennridge has continued moving upward:
- #215 in 2022
- #214 in 2023
- #192 in 2024
- #165 in 2025
- AND NOW #150 in 2026!!

That is a rise of nearly 100 spots in the Pennsylvania rankings over the last five years.

Pennridge High School also improved its overall U.S. News scorecard from 76.66 in 2025 to 80.48 in 2026, while earning recognition in both the national and Philadelphia metro-area rankings.

Rankings are only one measure of a school, but this continued progress reflects the work happening across Pennridge around high expectations, quality instruction, student achievement, advanced coursework, college and career readiness, and future-ready opportunities.

Congratulations to our students, teachers, counselors, staff, administrators, families, and the entire Pennridge community. This recognition belongs to all of you too!
