Tribal leaders across the country endorse candidates and encourage their members to vote and be a part of this political process because whoever is elected their policies affect the Tribe. Leaders have to look out for the best interest of the Tribe and stay on top of issues and have a voice. This page belongs to the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma to keep members informed. These members featured are proud to be a part of this process and it is disrespectful to post negativity on the posts they are being highlighted on because you don't agree or understand how politics works in Indian Country and how Tribal Leaders represent the Tribe's best interests. You are being rude and disrespectful to these Tribal members featured in these posts.
I would like to ask why our business committee is using the tribal social media outlets to post personal presidential endorsements? I have watched and listened to all three and not one of them give any reason as to why they endorse their candidate and what benefits their candidate poses the Ioway people. If they want to make personal endorsements that is fine, but it should be done on their own social media outlet not our (ITO) social media outlets. I would like to ask these endorsements be taken down out of respect for the Ioway tribal members as a whole.
Is our tribal social media outlets the place for for personal endorsements of political candidates? I am all for people personally endorsing someone but using our tribal platforms to do so is not the place, especially if there are not facts or reasons behind the endorsement. If you want to educate tribal members use the platforms to do that. Not one of these endorsements were to educate our tribe or provide information they were strictly personal endorsements with no facts behind them. If you want to encourage people to vote that is fine but trying to persuade people to vote one way or another is not what our tribal platforms should be used for. I would request that all personal endorsements be removed from our tribal social media platforms.
Will there be a fall festival this year??
Do our tribal leaders have any idea about this?

I was wondering why the tribe has not offered any kind of covid relief for the tribe??? They have the cares funds from the government. The other tribes had applications for there tribal members to fill out as proof that they did use it for their members. Also the CnA's came all the way to tulsa to hand out food for their tribal members. We are a much smaller tribe and I know we have the funds to help people out. Please no hateful remarks I was just wanting to know. I am thankful for all the tribe does.
Hello. I am James Kim, working with Indegenous Leaders of North America. We will co-host a global youth camp this summer with IYF USA nonprofit youth organization. In the past, we held our camps in Anadarko schools, Phoenix, Albuquerque pueblos and had presentations for Seminole, Muscogee, Chotaw, Osage Nation Chiefs recently. Would you share our camp with young adult of your community?
