Today, the Weathersfield Fire Department responded to multiple calls for service, including two medical calls this morning while Chief Compo and Captain Waters completed their technical rescue course. This afternoon, Engine-7 covered the Proctorsville Fire Department and the Chester Fire Department while they operated at multiple brush fires. While Engine-7 was covering, members covering from Station 2 got dispatched to a 1st alarm brush fire in the town of Windsor. Brush-1 and Engine-1 responded and assisted with suppression and overhaul. During operations, a second fire was discovered close to the first fire, and additional alarms requested more equipment to the scene. Engine-7 had returned from Chester and responded along with Utility-1 to Windsor for the second fire. 11 members responded to assist with the two fires while Proctorsville Fire was on auto aid for the town. Lastly, while returning to quarters, Weathersfield Fire was dispatched to Interstate 91 for a dump truck fire; Engines 1, 4, 7, Tanker-1, and Brush 1 all responded. Great job by all our members for their dedication.

Today we remember Chief Spaulding as he is recognized in Maryland and think of his family who were unable to attend in person.
