Our Youth Ecology Corps (YEC) associates and college interns were recently recognized by our Board of Directors as they completed their term with us.

Through YEC, young adults gain hands-on experience across EMWD while learning more about careers in the water industry through professional development, facility tours, and mentorship from our team. Our college internship program similarly provides students with an opportunity to put their education into practice while gaining valuable experience in public service.

We’re proud of everything this next generation of water professionals accomplished and grateful for the energy, curiosity, and fresh perspectives they brought to our District.

To close out 💧, we are back with John from our Source Control team!

For John, one of the most rewarding parts of the job is solving problems. With years of experience seeing how different systems and processes work, he is able to apply that knowledge to tackle new challenges, and continue learning along the way.

As we wrap up this week’s series, we’re proud to highlight the people behind the work who help protect our wastewater treatment systems and the water resources our communities depend on.
