Coroner Incident Response Team🚁

Riverside County Coroner developed a specialized team within the Coroner's Bureau to conduct death investigations in remote or difficult to reach locations. The team trains regularly in helicopter hoist training, repelling and other techniques for reaching decedents in remote locations. From remote desert canyons to mountainous cliffsides, our team members go above and beyond to ensure a thorough death investigation is conducted and the decedent is recovered under our care.

Thank you to RSO aviation staff for providing this invaluable training to our team!

🚨 Every 15 Minutes – Think Before You Drive 🚨
Today we participated in the Every 15 Minutes program alongside the California Highway Patrol and our local public safety partners to remind students about the real and lasting consequences of impaired and distracted driving.

The powerful demonstration showed how one poor decision can change lives forever—impacting victims, families, friends, and the entire community.

To the students who participated, the staff who supported the event, and our partners who helped make this program possible—thank you for helping share this important message.

💡 Drive sober. Stay focused. Make the right choice. Your decisions behind the wheel matter and can save lives.

🌹Rose Dedication Ceremony🌹
The Coroner’s Bureau, in collaboration with OneLegacy, was honored to host our annual Rose Dedication Ceremony, honoring the brave families that gave the gift of life. The Coroner’s Bureau and OneLegacy work together to facilitate the saving and healing of lives through organ, eye, and tissue donation.

Donor families spoke about the healing that donation provided after the tragic loss of a loved one. Donor families who attended were presented with roses and had the opportunity to write messages on rose vials to honor their loved ones. The vials will be a part of OneLegacy’s Donate Life float at the 2026 Rose Parade.

This year's float theme, "Treasure every moment together," will honor donors and their families and help inspire parade spectators to join millions of Americans who are registered donors. A single organ and tissue donor can save up to eight lives and heal as many as 100 more. Anyone can register when renewing a driver’s license or state ID, or by visiting www.donatelifeamerica.org.

Further information about the Donate Life float and facts about organ donation can be found at www.onelegacy.org.
