The monthly Fruits and Vegetables Benefit has been increased to $24 for children age 1 to 5, $43 for pregnant and postpartum individuals, and $47 for breastfeeding individuals.

Looking for cozy recipes perfect for when the weather turns cool? How about a lightly curried winter squash soup? Or sopes stacked with red onion, roasted poblano peppers, and tomatoes? Have you tried mixing apples and pears together to bake a scrumptious and heart-healthy fruit crisp?

Find recipes for these dishes and more at EatFresh.org!

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is the diagnosis given for the sudden death of an infant younger than one year of age that remains unexplained after a thorough case investigation. SIDS is one of the leading causes of death in infants between one month and one year of age. Most SIDS deaths occur between the ages of two and four months.

You can promote safe sleep practices to reduce the risk of SIDS and other sleep related deaths that are accidental, such as suffocation or overlay. To make sure your friends, family, and the patients you serve know how to provide safe sleep to infants, order your own set of free handouts! https://safetosleep.nichd.nih.gov/materials
