This Memorial Day, we remember the men and women who gave everything in service to our nation.

Their sacrifice is the reason we are able to enjoy the freedoms, opportunities, and way of life we hold dear.

As we gather with family and friends, let us also pause to honor those who never made it home and the families who carry their memory forward.

Today and every day, Noble County remembers.

Another opportunity to clean up properties and help keep all of Noble County looking its best! The Noble County Commissioners are providing five roll-off dumpster locations for City of Perry residents and all Noble County rural residents to dispose of unwanted items. NO appliances, tires, or paint, please.
Two roll-offs will be located inside the Perry city limits:
• South side of the Armory — 309 N. 14th
• 400 Kaw — empty lot at 4th & Kaw
Three additional roll-offs will be located outside the city limits:
• 104 E. Fir
• Noble County Fairgrounds — 1 Ivanhoe
• District 3 Shop — 419 S. Boundary
In order for the cleanup program to run smoothly, please do not overfill the roll-off dumpsters. If a roll-off is full, please choose another location with available space. Thank you for helping keep Noble County clean! This cleanup program is funded through grant dollars awarded to Noble County and is not funded by local tax revenue.

🚧 The Noble County cleanup effort is underway. Roll-off dumpster locations now include the Meadow Park neighborhood, the Town of Lucien, and our District 3 shop location on HWY 86.

The roll-offs located in Lucien and Meadow Park are reserved for residents of those areas. However, the roll-off at the District 3 shop is open to all Noble County residents. Multiple rotations are planned, so please help us keep the program running smoothly by not overfilling the dumpsters.

These community cleanup programs are funded through grant dollars, not local tax money. Pursuing outside funding for everything from community cleanup roll-offs to major infrastructure improvements is essential for rural communities operating with limited resources.

Deer Ridge east of CR 130 is now back open. We will be installing riprap tomorrow morning and completing the remaining finish work. Conditions are still rough in that area, but we’re making steady progress.

I appreciate everyone who has sent in photos and updates. With the number of impacted areas, those messages help us prioritize repairs and operate as efficiently as possible.

As conditions dry out, additional signs of road undermining may continue to appear due to shrinking material and loss of cohesion. Please continue to text my cell with photos or contact the office to report any issues.

Thank you for your patience,

Multiple culvert locations with undermined roadways are being identified and repaired daily. This particular site, located on Deer Ridge east of CR 130, revealed a 7 foot void beneath what appeared to be a stable roadway.

Our crews are actively and vigilantly addressing damage caused by more than 6 inches of rainfall in a short period of time. We appreciate your patience as we work to restore these areas safely and efficiently.

Based on our preliminary survey, there are numerous impacted areas, too many to list individually. Our crews are addressing each location as quickly and safely as possible. The areas with the most damage from 4-7” of heavy rainfall are outlined in orange. These areas must be traveled with caution.

Thank you to everyone who has shared photos and specific locations. With a lean crew, that information is extremely helpful and greatly appreciated.

During normal business hours, report hazards by calling the office. After hours and on weekends, text my cell with photos and clear directions from the nearest intersection.

Please stay safe and stay in touch, District 3.

✅ 10:15am update ✅ The list is growing by the minute and will update THIS post as I am able.

- 4 power poles were downed on CR 160 south of Explorer. This was the main power supply coming from the Lake McMurtry sub station so it impacted a lot of folks. Kudos to the utility crews working through the night and completing the repairs around 9:45a.

- CR 160 south of Explorer. Water overtook the bridge causing the road edge to collapse. No undermining is observed and it can be crossed with caution.

- CR 40 south of Chisolm. This area should not be traveled until the water levels drop and the structure can be inspected.

- CR 175 can be safely traveled.

- CR 180 (Cottonwood) Alamo to Chisolm. No undermining observed, but best to avoid this area if possible.

- Frontier west of CR 190. Dangerous washouts. Passable but travel with extreme care.
