Amanda Marie Green won here in Taylor and went on to win 14 of the 16 counties in the district!

Raised in St. Pete, Green is the proud member of a family that hunts, fishes, camps, and hikes the lands in North Florida and she knows we must protect our home from overdevelopment and mismanagement. She moved to the Big Bend to attend Florida State, where she studied emergency management and public administration, and she has spent her career in international development and disaster work.

She says she'll push for a seat on the House Agriculture Committee, back a strong Farm Bill, support local producers, and work to undo the cuts that hit rural healthcare. Allen Boyd, who held this seat for more than a decade, has endorsed her.

Green is no stranger to Taylor County Democrats, having made several trips to Taylor County to meet with voters over the last several months. She faces Republican Austin Rogers on Tuesday, November 3rd.

Taylor County Democrats picked Angie Nixon for U.S. Senate, and it wasn't close. She took 466 of the 700 votes cast in our Democratic primary, right at two out of every three.

Rep. Nixon is a Jacksonville native who has served in the Florida House since 2020. She won the nomination while being outspent about sixteen to one, running on lowering costs, canceling medical debt, and raising wages for Floridians.

This race is a special election for the last two years of Marco Rubio's old Senate term. She faces sitting Senator Ashley Moody on Tuesday, November 3rd.

President Trump has taken step after step to jeopardize the work of Florida's farmers and agricultural industry. Our farms are tired of destructive policies followed by taxpayer funded bailouts to try to contain the damage. It's time for change.

Florida Farm Bureau is deeply disappointed by the Administration’s move to flood the beef market with underpriced imports. Farmers and ranchers are already contending with high input and regulatory costs, weather challenges, and supply chain disruptions. This action triggered immediate market shocks at the height of cattle marketing season — impacts producers will feel long after the tariff relief ends.

We share the goal of affordable groceries, but undermining domestic food supply only deepens our dependence on foreign nations and weakens America’s food security. We call on President Trump to abandon this plan, and stand ready to help the Administration work with our farmers and ranchers toward market-based solutions that support domestic production and lower consumer costs.

Congratulations to Amanda Marie Green, the Democratic nominee for Florida's 2nd Congressional District!

We're grateful to every candidate who stepped up and to every Taylor County Democrat who voted - and now we get to work, together! The people of North Florida deserve a Representative who works as hard for us in Congress as we work to support our families and communities here at home. That's exactly what we'll get from Amanda!

Ready to help send her to Washington? Join us!!

THANK YOU, FL-02 💙

Every vote, every conversation, every volunteer shift, and every mile traveled across our 16 counties brought us to this moment and I could not be more grateful and humbled to be the Democrat nominee. Your support is something I will never take for granted and I promise to work hard every day on behalf of North Florida, always putting the people first.

While we celebrate tonight, the hardest part of this race is yet to come. We get back to work tomorrow, reenergized and building the broad coalitions of support we need to win in November. We hope you’ll join us. Together, we will build a brighter, more affordable, future for North Florida!

Election Day is tomorrow. Early voting is over, so take two minutes tonight and make your plan!

1. Find your precinct. Tomorrow you vote at your assigned precinct, not the early voting site - look yours up at https://www.taylorelectionsfl.gov/where-to-vote-in-person/

2. Set out your ID. Valid photo and signature ID; your Florida driver license counts as both. Put it by your keys now!

3. Pick your time. Polls are open 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM - before work, lunch break, or on the way home.

And if a mail ballot is still sitting on your counter, it has to reach the Elections Office by 7:00 PM tomorrow. Deliver it to the office yourself, don't mail it!

Then text one neighbor and ask what their plan is!
