🚨 MANDATORY BURN BAN ISSUED FOR TAYLOR COUNTY 🚨Effective today, April 23, 2026, Taylor County Fire Rescue has issued a mandatory burn ban for all of Taylor County due to high wildfire potential, drought conditions, and recent fire activity.This ban will remain in effect until the Taylor County Fire Chief determines
conditions are safe to resume burning.
🚫 WHAT IS PROHIBITED?The following outdoor and open burning activities are strictly forbidden.
Yard & Household Waste: Burning yard debris and household paper products.Recreational Fires: Bonfires, campfires, warming fires, outdoor fireplaces, and chimeneas.
Outdoor Cooking:
All open cooking fires.Pyrotechnics: Use of flares, explosives, fireworks, and sparklers.Hot Work: Outdoor use of metal cutting or welding equipment that produces sparks or molten slag.
✅ WHAT IS ALLOWED?Grilling: Gas or charcoal grills that are contained and monitored for cooking purposes.
Authorized Burns: Pile or broadcast burning specifically authorized by the Florida Forest Service.Help us keep our community safe!
