Noble County Commissioner Gary May and his dedicated team of volunteers are once again hosting their annual Independence Day fireworks show at Perry Lake. This event is made possible through generous donations from the United Fund of Perry.
Longtime supporter Tom Davis, who passed away in March 2026, was instrumental in supporting this event for many years. This year’s fireworks show is being dedicated to Tom in recognition of his continued support and commitment to helping make this community tradition possible.
The public is invited to attend and enjoy the show. Spectators are encouraged to gather in the designated common area located on the south side of the dam. Fireworks may only be launched from the spillway on the north side of the dam.
All attendees are asked to help keep Perry Lake clean by using the designated dumpsters provided. Please help preserve the lake’s natural habitat by ensuring no trash, debris, or firework remnants are left behind.
Gary and his crew will be stationed on the west side of the lake, providing what is sure to be another memorable Independence Day display.
The fireworks show will begin at dark, no earlier.

As the water system improvement project nears completion, the Street Department will soon begin work on 8th Street from Fir Street to Locust Street.
The attached map provides an overview of the streets currently being considered for improvement. Several of these areas also align with other planned infrastructure projects to help maximize efficiency and long-term value for the community.
We recognize that additional streets throughout Perry are in need of attention, and we remain committed to addressing those areas as resources and project schedules allow. For now, this map highlights the streets currently planned for focus during Fiscal Year 2027. As work is completed, additional streets will be evaluated and incorporated into future improvement plans.
Please note that all project plans are tentative and subject to change based on funding availability, weather conditions, utility needs, unforeseen circumstances, and other factors that may affect scheduling and priorities.
