PRI Fire Training pulled off an awesome Vehicle Fires training at the Perry Fire Department. We were able to get hands-on experience in a controlled setting allowing us to get instant feedback on proper nozzle handling, pattern and flow. As well as hazards to watch out for as you work the situation. Great job to the instructors, and thank you to the Bouton Fire Department for participating with us. Training alongside our mutual aid departments helps to form a tight bond with the crews that we often call on for assistance.

A big thank you to Landus for their generous donation to the Perry Fire Department.

This weekend our crews completed back-to-back live fire training burns, giving us the chance to field-test our newest engine, run our Hen Technologies Blade nozzles, practice tank drafting, porta-tank setup, and refine defensive tactics.

A huge thank-you to the Woodward Fire-Rescue for their time, teamwork, and involvement, and to the homeowners for providing the opportunity for such valuable hands-on training.

We'll be downtown this Friday serving up the classics for Perry's block party. But, even if you aren't there to party, we'll still be serving up grab-n-go style. Whether you drive-up, walk-up, stumble, or dance your way over, you'll be sure to get a great tasting sandwich at a great price!

Congratulations, Grason. There isn't anyone else I can think of that is more deserving of this award. If you drive by the station most late week nights, you're almost certain to see his van parked outside after a long day at his full time job. Yet, despite his long days of managing a city budget, payroll, planning training, and ordering equipment for the department; if you pop your head in his office, you'll always be greeted by a warm smile and friendly conversation.

This morning, we lost a dear friend, dedicated volunteer, and true champion of the Perry Fire Department. Tom Wolf passed away suddenly in his home, leaving behind a legacy of service, creativity, and heart that will never be forgotten.

Tom was more than just a longtime member of our department—he was our dependable photographer and videographer, always there to capture the moments that mattered. Whether it was training, community events, or the quiet pride after a tough call, Tom was behind the lens making sure our story was told.

He was the guy who had a smile waiting for you at the station when you got back, no matter how late or how hard the call had been. He celebrated every win, comforted us during losses, and constantly reminded us why we do what we do. He was one of our greatest cheerleaders, and his absence will be felt deeply.

Rest easy, Tom. We’ll carry your memory with us in every snapshot, every firehouse laugh, and every step we take forward. You’ll always be part of this family.
Services for Tom are still being planned and we will announce more details as they become available.
