Did you know that SQ 832 would tie Oklahoma's minimum wage to a federal price index, automatically increasing when prices go up in California or the east coast? If SQ 832 passes, our state's minimum wage will automatically increase beginning in 2030 onward depending on the federal Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, or CPI-W. That takes local control away from hardworking Oklahomans and will inflate prices here at home. Rising costs in other states shouldn't dictate what we do or pay here in Oklahoma. Vote No on SQ 832 on June 16, and learn more at: https://www.okfarmbureau.org/sq832/

📣 The endorsements are in! 📣

Our grassroots Ag Fund political action committee state board met yesterday and officially endorsed 34 political candidates and provided financial support to 19 candidates ahead of Oklahoma's June 16 primary election. The decisions were made after district meetings across the state last week where the committee gathered input from local Farm Bureau leaders.

There's more to SQ 832 than meets the eye for family farmers and ranchers. Hiding behind the promises of increased wages, SQ 832 would remove longstanding exemptions for agricultural labor that provide flexibility for workers on Oklahoma's farms and ranches to work longer days when it is critical to get crops harvested or livestock handled when time is money. With agricultural input costs skyrocketing and suppressed commodity prices farmers face, squeezing our local farms with increased labor costs will cut even further into the viability of our family agriculturalists. Vote NO on SQ 832 June 16. Learn more: okfarmbureau.org/sq832
