Does chaos erupt at your home in the morning before leaving for work or school? Do you feel ragged or stressed when you leave? Here are a few tips to help you create a rush-free morning in the future, making your mornings more peaceful and less stressful.
First, place all items that need to go with you in the morning in the same space the night before. Second, choose clothing for the next day, the night before. Lay out clothes for you and your children so they are ready to be put on in the morning. Third, prepare lunches ahead of time. Whether this is one meal the night before or a meal prep that is ready to go, have the lunch prepared in the refrigerator until you are ready to leave.
Fourth, share morning responsibilities with another adult in the home. One can make breakfast, and the other can wake the family up. Share duties with children as well.
Fifth and finally, try to wake up an hour or more before you need to leave. More time in the morning can reduce the rush and stress.
We hope you find these tips helpful as we approach the end of summer and back-to-school season!
