Homecoming 2026 is near!

The Early Childhood Center started their morning family time on Friday. Each morning we gather in the gym for morning announcements, celebrate birthdays, and recite the Pledge of Allegiance together. It's a wonderful way to begin our day together! 💙

Kansas House Bill 2299, effective July 1, 2026, requires school districts to limit social media communication with students to one-way communication. The legislation also established new requirements regarding student cell phone use in schools.

To ensure compliance with the law, official district and school/building social media accounts will continue to provide information, announcements, celebrations, and other updates, but they will no longer respond to direct messages or participate in conversations with individuals through comments.

This change is necessary because district employees are prohibited from engaging in social media communication with students, and it is not always possible to determine whether a particular social media account belongs to a current student.

We value the opportunity to communicate with our families and community and want to make sure questions and concerns continue to receive a timely response. If you need assistance, please contact the district office or your child’s school directly using the phone numbers and email addresses provided on the Perry-Lecompton Schools website.
