Today, the Perrysburg Township Police Department honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness secured the freedoms we enjoy every day.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, let us never forget those who gave everything for our nation and the loved ones they left behind.

We proudly remember our fallen heroes and extend our deepest gratitude to all who have served.

Help us congratulate Officer Hunter Dotson for being awarded Officer of the year presented by the Exchange Club of Perrysburg.

Officer Dotson works tirelessly regarding training and is a department trainer in defensive tactics and fluent teacher of subject control. He has led the department in OVI arrests keeping the roads safe from drunk driving.

Congratulations and keep up the good work Officer Dotson.

Also congratulations to FF/Paramedic Andy Berry from Perrysburg Twp. Fire/EMS for being awarded Firefighter of the year. Great job to both professionals!

To end National Public Safety Telecommunicator's Week, we have shown off our great dispatchers and their experience. In total our six dispatchers have a total of 145 years of service and experience between them. They are an invaluable resource to have and we are very blessed to have them in house still!

We would like to wish the dispatchers from Wood County Sheriff's Office, Perrysburg Police Division, Bowling Green, OH Police Division praise, recognition and thank you for their service also!
